Lately I've been in love with rustic-ish things, especially barns. And especially with weddings. There's something about the rustic feel of a barn + elegance of weddings that appeals to me.

Time for a change

Although I love the golden-y color of the first photo, I think I'm ready for a real change. Not just a few low-lights or more ombre, but full-on rich brown. I've been blonde long enough and am restless for a change, and after seeing more and more brown hair I love, I need to do it and I need to do it now {hello instant gratification}

I don't want to go too dark since my eyebrows have gotten pretty bleached out this summer and look silly if I fill them in too much, but I have fallen in love with the colors below. {and yes I think that is the same girl is most of those photos but I WANT her hair}

It's been official for a while, but I've definitely been swept up into the business of summer. Nannying full-time, searching for internships, living the dream, it's all a bit time consuming {in a new-ish and wonderful way, of course}

Some days I end up being distant from the 'sunshine + lollipops' girl I usually am and need to check out of the world for a bit for some restorative *me time*

After doing quite a bit of talking + thinking lately, I feel connected to this quote and want to strive to be and make the beautiful place for myself and for those around me.
